8. I have had vein stripping done but my legs still hurt, can you help me?
Traditional vein stripping involves surgically removing the Great Saphenous Vein ( the long vein that runs from the groin to the ankle ) and sometimes the Small Saphenous vein ( the long vein that runs from the back of the knee to the ankle. Most branches of these long veins still remain. Over time these branch veins can start causing localized or generalized pain and swelling with appearance of varicose veins and spider veins. At Metro Vein Clinic we have many patients who have had vein stripping in the past. With the state of the art treatments provided at Metro Vein Clinic we are able to make the legs look and feel good. Of course we cannot fix the scars of surgery.
